Odessa athletes won 7 medals, including 2 gold, at the Ukrainian Championship in benchrest shooting, which took place in Lviv this days.
In the women's competition, the entire podium was won by athletes from the Nova Dolyna Olympic Training Center. The winner was the participant of the 2020 Olympic Games Iryna Malovichko (coach - Mykola Milchev), who defeated 168 targets in terms of qualification and final (qualification - 114/125, final - 54/60). In second place - Victoria Naumenko (162), in third place - Veronica Milcheva (150).
In the men's competition, the silver medalist was Ivan Loik - 171 points. In qualifying, he broke 117 targets out of 125 (2nd place); in the final part, he beat almost without a miss - 54 out of 60 but did not catch up with the leader. The winner here was Georgy Ipatov (Kyiv) - 173.
In the mixed category, which is included in the programme of the 2024 Olympic Games, the winners were Iryna Malovichko and Ivan Loik - 139 (69 + 70), and the Naumenko shooting team - Oleksiy and Victoria - became the second - 137 (68 + 69).
Milana Grachova won a bronze medal among juniors.
