The Ukrainian company BetterMe, in collaboration with the Superhumans prosthetics center, has developed an educational course titled "Communication without Barriers."
The course was created by psychologists to teach ethical expression of emotions, building dialogue, and mastering personal feelings in communication with people with amputated limbs. Participants will learn to identify what specifically troubles them when communicating with an amputee and what areas they should work on. They will also learn how to initiate conversations and not feel shame or guilt when interacting with people with amputated limbs.
According to a survey by the Ukrainian Veterans Foundation, 15% of Ukrainian defenders are willing to be hired as employees after the war. At the same time, 98% of Ukrainians consider people with disabilities to be full-fledged members of society, but they assess the possibility of finding a job for them as low.
The educational course can be taken through the BetterMe: Mental Health app. It is available on the main screen of the application or in the "Interesting" section.
