The main direction of the Russian troops' offensive remains the city of Pokrovske in the Donetsk region. However, Russian occupiers are also advancing in the Kharkiv region. This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense on the social network X.
'The main efforts of Russian forces remain concentrated on Pokrovske in eastern Ukraine,' the report states.
It is noted that Russian forces have likely captured the towns of Hrodivka, east of Pokrovske, and Ukrainka, south of the city. Currently, Russian troops are about 8 km from Pokrovske.
'The arrival of Ukrainian reinforcements, urban areas, and Ukrainian defense have likely slowed the advance of Russian forces along this axis over the past week,' according to the British Ministry of Defense.
Additionally, in the northeastern part of the Kharkiv region, Russian forces have advanced west of the village of Pishchane. They now hold a small protrusion about 3.5 km from the Oskil River.
