The Russian army has increased its offensive activity along the entire front, experiencing growing losses. The British Ministry of Defense reported this on social media, citing intelligence data.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of January 19, the number of Russian shelling along the front line increased by 27% compared to the previous day. Additional data from the General Staff, comparing the period from January 14-18, 2024, with the preceding five-day period in January 2024, also confirms the increase in the number of shelling.
According to analysts, during this period, the number of losses of Russian military equipment increased by 88%, and tanks increased by 95%. Losses in personnel in the Russian army during this period increased by 15%.
"These data pont towards a steady increase in the intensity of Russian offensive activity along the entire front over the past two weeks. The key factor contributing to this is most likely the freezing of the ground, allowing armored vehicles to move through rough terrain," the summary states.
