The Russian army has concentrated its efforts to the west of Avdiivka and Mariinka in Donetsk, while the advance of Russian troops has slowed down, according to British intelligence.

"The average weekly number of reports of Russian ground attacks in Ukraine has decreased by 13% since the end of February 2024, when the average weekly figure was 600 attacks," the statement said.

The department specified that 60% of the reports of Russian shelling over the past four weeks were concentrated to the west of Avdiivka and Marinka.

At the same time, British intelligence warns of a challenging overall situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the coming weeks, as Russia "will continue to rebuild its forces and carry out attacks on priority fronts."

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there were 79 clashes on the front line on March 13, with the most attacks by Russian forces occurring on the Novopavlivka (29), Avdiivka (20), and Lymanske (11) directions.

The day before, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, following the results of a trip to the "active front," reported that the operational situation on the eastern front remains difficult, with Russian forces concentrating their main efforts in the areas of the settlements of Terny, Ivanivske, Berdychiv, Tonenke, Verbove, and Robotyne. Despite this, the settlements that the Russian army attempted to capture remain under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, assured Syrskyi.
