Ukraine has demonstrated its ability to strike deep into the occupied Crimea. Russia will likely need to relocate its shipbuilding infrastructure.

This information was reported by the United Kingdom's Ministry of Defence's Twitter (X) account.

According to the report, on November 4, 2023, a newly built Russian military corvette was likely damaged after a strike when it was located near the Zaliv shipyard in Kerch, in the occupied Crimea.

According to British intelligence, the KARAKURST-class Askold, launched in 2021, had not been commissioned into the Russian Navy. The incident is farther to the east in Crimea than most previous Ukrainian-claimed long-range strikes.

"Ukraine's capability to hit Crimean shipbuilding infrastructure will likely cause Russia to consider relocating farther from the front line, delaying the delivery of new vessels," notes the British Ministry of Defence.
