Officials of the State Bureau of Investigation have established the facts of Russian use of cryptocurrency exchanges to circumvent sanctions imposed on Russia by the international community.
The State Bureau of Investigation found that some crypto industry representatives allowed users from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus to carry out anonymous cross-border currency and cryptocurrency transactions, contrary to FATF requirements, bypassing sanctions.
Among other things, this happened through certain Ukrainian websites.
Thus, subversive activities against Ukraine were financed.
The State Bureau of Investigation provided the relevant information to the Ukrainian authorities, which appealed to the world's leading cryptocurrency exchanges to apply appropriate restrictive measures.
Cryptocurrency exchanges have already blocked the accounts indicated by the Ukrainian side.
