The Canadian Minister of Defense Bill Blair has stated that the country could purchase drones manufactured in Ukraine.
This was stated during the press conference of the Canadian Minister of Defense Bill Blair.
"We discussed possibilities for cooperation, including how coalition allies, including Canada, could invest in the purchase of drones produced in Ukraine. In my opinion, this is a very real opportunity," said Blair.
The Minister of Defense emphasized that Ukrainians have gained significant combat experience over the past two years in the war with Russia, and drones have played a significant role in this.
"I think we should all learn from the evolution of drone use in warfare and make decisions about future purchases based on this," the minister said.
Blair also mentioned that Canada would seek to provide Ukraine with millions of drones, some of which would be manufactured in Ukraine.
"We will cooperate with Ukrainians and support their own production. However, there are real benefits for all coalition members, including Canada," Blair concluded.
