In 2022, 9,900 deals on the purchase of apartments by foreigners were carried out, and 4,275 of them were sold to Ukrainians: "Some of those fleeing the war are wealthy people so they did not have to count on the hospitality of Polish families. They rented or bought apartments in Poland. Some Ukrainians probably also perceived the purchase of an apartment in Poland as an opportunity to invest risky capital in a safe market," WProst writes.
Second place among foreigners in terms of the number of purchased real estate in Poland is occupied by Germans, who bought 1,118 apartments. In third place are Belarusians, who made 889 deals. In fourth place were the Russians, who bought 276 apartments.
At the same time, journalists note that these are incomplete data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration of Poland (from January 1 to November 14), but a trend can be traced.
