Russia maintains approximately 21,800 military personnel near the northern border with Ukraine. The situation remains under control.

This information was reported by the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Naiev.

The adversary has established and maintains a group with a total strength of 20,000 individuals. The military continuously conducts reconnaissance, carries out shelling of border areas, and actively increases engineering and fortification equipment in the region.

"At the same time, from the side of the Republic of Belarus, with the aim of strengthening the border, in addition to the border service units, about 1,800 individuals from the armed forces are stationed along the border," added the Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Military and law enforcement agencies regularly conduct combat training activities, enhance observation systems, and deploy engineering and fortification equipment along the border.

Belarus continues to provide support to Russia in the war against Ukraine by supplying and repairing weapons and military equipment.

"Enterprises of the Belarusian military-industrial complex are involved in the production of new and the refurbishment of outdated ammunition, with their subsequent transfer for the benefit of the Armed Forces of Russia," noted Naiev.
