The annual event is aimed at supporting international coordination in the reconstruction of our country and attracting new investments. It also serves as an important platform for discussing key issues.
The main aspects of the upcoming conference and future bilateral cooperation were discussed by Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development, Oleksii Kuleba, the Italian Ambassador to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa, and the Special Representative, Coordinator of Italy's Working Group on the Reconstruction and Strengthening of Ukraine’s Resilience, David La Cecilia.
Oleksii Kuleba expressed gratitude to the Italian government for the important initiative of holding the Ukraine Recovery Conference in 2025 and confirmed the Ministry's readiness to cooperate in its preparation.
"This is a significant event that supports international coordination in rebuilding our country, attracting new investments, and serves as an important platform for discussing key reconstruction issues," emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.
The meeting participants discussed the role of regions and communities in the reconstruction efforts. The success of formats such as the Recovery Forum and roundtable discussions, which engage a wide range of participants, enhance business involvement, and make discussions more practical, was highlighted. To prepare the regions and communities for the conference, the proposal of holding Road to URC2025 events in Ukraine and Italy early next year was made.
David La Cecilia, Special Representative and Coordinator of Italy's Working Group on Ukraine's Reconstruction and Resilience Strengthening, emphasized that this year, more business representatives will be involved in the Conference, which should positively contribute to Ukraine's recovery efforts.
The sides also discussed Italy's participation in restoring cultural heritage sites, as well as critical infrastructure objects in Odessa and the region.
