Continuous incineration of bodies of Russian soldiers killed in battles with Ukrainian Defense Forces is taking place near the temporarily occupied Melitopol in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar reported this on Telegram.
"Currently, active combat actions are ongoing on all fronts. Many enemies are being killed. Hundreds are killed daily both in the East and in the South," emphasized Malyar.
At the same time, according to her, the command of the Russian occupational forces is attempting to conceal the actual losses of personnel and is conducting burials in the temporarily occupied territories, without transporting the remains to Russia.
"For example, near Melitopol in the Zaporizhzhia region, on open ground, almost continuous cremation of bodies of Russian servicemen is being carried out by the occupiers using trucks. Local residents have been experiencing a distinct acrid smoke for a considerable period," noted the deputy minister.
"In the morgue of the Chaplyn district hospital in the Kherson region, the occupants bring the deceased from the Kherson direction, who are buried at two locations, one of which covers an area of up to 100 hectares," Malyar added."
