Thanks to the evidence provided by the Security Service, another collaborator who cooperated with the aggressor during the battles for Kyiv has received a real prison sentence.
During the occupation of the village of Andriivka in Bucha district, he disguised himself as a monk and went to the positions of Russian troops.
There, he offered his help to the Russians in the war against Ukraine. Initially, he "quartered" the occupation unit in his own house. Then he provided the invaders with food and "directed" his fellow villagers to accommodations, which were subsequently looted.
Additionally, the collaborator blessed columns of Russian armored vehicles moving towards the front. In reality, the perpetrator had no connection to the religious community.
The criminal enjoyed "privileges" allowing him to move freely within the community and visit the Russian headquarters.
After the liberation of the district, he remained in the village hoping to "serve his time" in his own residence.
However, SSU agents documented his criminal activities and arrested him in April 2022.
Based on the evidence provided by the Security Service, the court found him guilty under Articles 111-1 (collaboration activity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Taking into account his cooperation with the investigation, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison with property confiscation.
