In Donetsk, Russian forces assembled a "tsar train" that stretches for 30 km, consisting of over two thousand cars. The Russian army constructed it as a defensive fortification. This information is reported by DeepState analysts.
A continuous structure made of freight cars stretches along the branch line from the railway station in Olenivka to Volnovakha, consisting of about 2,100 cars of various types. Construction of this train formation began in July 2023. Apparently, rolling stock stolen from occupied territories was used for construction.
This is a very specific engineering structure, the effectiveness of which is difficult to assess. The idea is clear—it serves as an obstacle to the advancement of the Defense Forces. It can be viewed as a separate line of defense since damaging, shifting, or detonating a 30-kilometer mass of metal is extremely difficult, and moving vehicles through such an obstacle without creating a corridor is impossible.
The radar images provided are publicly available and help understand the scale of this formation. The construction of the "train" has been visually verified by DeepState team through images taken at various times.
