A continuous structure made of freight cars stretches along the branch line from the railway station in Olenivka to Volnovakha, consisting of about 2,100 cars of various types. Construction of this train formation began in July 2023. Apparently, rolling stock stolen from occupied territories was used for construction.
This is a very specific engineering structure, the effectiveness of which is difficult to assess. The idea is clear—it serves as an obstacle to the advancement of the Defense Forces.
