The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs that Russians in the Middle East are conducting another information operation aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian state.
Russian citizens are calling Ukrainians currently in the Gaza Strip, spreading panic among them using fake messages, including:
- "Ukraine has abandoned you";
- "There will be no rescue anymore";
- "Russia is ready to evacuate you."
At the same time, Russian callers imply that in exchange for the supposed evacuation from the Gaza sector, it will be necessary to provide an interview for a Russian information agency.
Details about the content of the interview or possible questions are not disclosed by the so-called "rescuers."
Thus, Moscow's terrorist activities seek to take advantage of the heightened basic needs of individuals in armed conflict conditions, aiming to move to the next stage of the campaign to discredit Ukraine. This involves creating corresponding propaganda materials for the subsequent transmission of advantageous falsehoods to the aggressor.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine urges fellow citizens in the Gaza Strip to report all cases of telephone extortion, provocations, and intimidation by unknown Russians.
Ukraine as a state is doing everything possible to rescue its citizens.
