As a result of the attack on the military airfield in the occupied city of Dzhankoi in Crimea, missile defense systems, anti-aircraft defense systems, radar systems, and aircraft of the Russian army were destroyed.
This was stated by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, in an interview with Radio Free Europe.
Yusov described the operation as important and large-scale, adding that more detailed information about the strikes would be released today.
"Yes, there are missile defense system launchers, destroyed radar systems, and information about aircraft personnel being affected. All the information will be published later today. This is a significant harvest and a successful operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," said the intelligence representative.
A series of explosions occurred during the night of April 17 in the area of the military airfield in the city of Dzhankoy in the northern part of occupied Crimea.
Dzhankoi is a military airfield in occupied Crimea, where the 39th Helicopter Regiment of the 27th Mixed Aviation Division of the 4th Command of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces is stationed, along with three aviation squadrons.
