The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs that enterprises of the aggressor state Russia and its satellite Belarus have failed to reach an agreement on the cost of components and assemblies for the Grad multiple rocket launcher systems.

According to the contract, the Belarusian subcontractor, JSC Volatavto, is supposed to supply 250 units of necessary products for the production and repair of the Grad MLRS to the Russian customer, ZAT Special Design Bureau.

This includes frames, bases, guide tubes, casings, and other components of combat vehicles.

The dispute arose during a meeting when the delegation from Volatavto presented papers with calculations — the cost of certain types of Belarusian products exceeded the expectations of the Russians by 500-600%.

After tense negotiations, the Belarusians conducted additional calculations and found a "way out" to reduce costs: the components will be manufactured by subcontractors who do not have the necessary licenses.

This implies a reduction in the quality of the products, and therefore increased risks in the use of components and assemblies for the Grad MLRS.

Both enterprises — the Belarusian JSC Volatavto and the Russian ZAT Special Design Bureau — are subject to international sanctions.
