Russians at the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant are facing a shortage of workers, so they are seeking new employees on social media.
This was reported by Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, during a telethon.
According to Yusov, there are Ukrainian employees at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant who have not signed new contracts with the Russian forces. He emphasized that the Russians are trying to persuade them to cooperate. According to the intelligence representative, there are quite a few such employees.
Yusov also mentioned that the number of personnel at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has decreased, so the occupiers are seeking new recruits in the territory of the Russian Federation.
"Just imagine, they're looking for personnel for a nuclear facility through social media and announcements on Telegram," said the intelligence representative.
He clarified that the professional level for new workers has been significantly lowered. This also poses additional threats to the operation of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, was occupied by Russian aggressors at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The invaders deployed military equipment on the territory of the plant. Throughout the occupation, the plant has been disconnected from Ukraine's power grid several times.
