Units of the active operations of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine have obtained evidence of Russians using kamikaze drones above the nuclear reactors of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant captured by Russia.

Video footage from the Russian FPV drone, obtained through radio electronic reconnaissance means, contains the marking UT4D.TT, indicating the supply of the drone to the occupation forces by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The flight path of the Russian kamikaze drone extends over the power units of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant towards the territories controlled by the Ukrainian Nikopol and Marganets communities, which are subjected to constant attacks.

Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Cherniak emphasized to the Babel publication that the Russians are using the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant for drone launches, taking advantage of the fact that the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine cannot return fire within a one-and-a-half-kilometer zone around the station.

The Russian forces have equipped launch sites for their UAVs right next to the sixth reactor of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

Moreover, since the summer of 2023, the Russians have begun using the territory of the captured nuclear power plant for training FPV drone pilots - this is done by the so-called "Arkhangelsk School," funded by the General Staff Main Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (formerly known as the "GRU").

The enumerated facts and evidence are another testament to the criminal and irresponsible activities of Russia on its occupied nuclear facility, which could have catastrophic consequences.
