Compared to the previous month, June was extremely active on the front. In the eastern operational zone Khortytsia, Russian forces conducted nearly 4,200 shellings.

This was stated by Nazar Voloshyn, the spokesperson of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group, during a broadcast of the national telethon United News.

"The enemy actively engaged in combat operations in the eastern operational zone, carrying out almost 4,200 shellings of our forces' positions. The situation varies across different directions, but the Defense Forces are providing an adequate response," said Voloshyn.

According to him, in the eastern direction, almost 1,000 personnels, 17 tanks, 23 armored vehicles, about 55 guns and mortars, and over 50 units of automotive equipment were destroyed.

"Compared to the previous month, June was extremely active on the front, with intense fighting in the Kurakhiv, Kramatorsk, and Pokrovsk directions, and over 1,000 combat clashes with the enemy occurred along the entire line this month. In the previous month, there were nearly 1,952 clashes, and the month before that, 732. The enemy has intensified its efforts in various directions," added the spokesperson.

He noted that the Russia's activity particularly affects the Pokrovsk, Kurakhiv, Kramatorsk, and Toretsk directions. Additionally, 114 unsuccessful Russian attacks were recorded in the Toretsk direction over the past week, with more than 31,000 occupiers eliminated in the eastern operational zone.

The spokesperson also reported that there have been cases where Russian soldiers voluntarily surrender using drones, while some commit suicide.

"I can say that there are cases when they (Russian soldiers) see our drone and surrender, and there are cases when they choose a 'one-way ticket,' harming themselves to avoid surrendering or returning to their units, opting to end their lives immediately," Voloshyn said.

He noted that there are currently many cases of voluntary surrender and suicides. In addition, 24 Russian servicemen were taken prisoner in the Chasiv Yar direction over the past month.
