The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a storage base for Shahed drones in the Krasnodar Krai of Russia.
This was reported by the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Today, the strike group of the grouping of forces and means of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with units of the Security Service of Ukraine, attacked a storage base for Shahed-type drones near the settlement of Oktyabrsky in Krasnodar Krai, Russia,” the statement said.
According to available information, about 400 strike drones were stored there.
Objective control confirmed a precise hit on the target, and secondary detonation was observed at the site.
It is noted that the destruction of the Shahed drone storage base will significantly reduce the ability of the Russian forces to terrorize peaceful residents of Ukrainian cities and villages.
The operational headquarters of the region (Russia), in turn, reported a fire in Oktyabrsky in warehouse premises covering an area of about 800 square meters. The area within 500 meters of the fire site has been cordoned off. Authorities did not provide information about the causes of the fire or what is stored in the warehouses.
