Denys Bashlyk emphasized that the development of the drone manufacturing industry, both in Ukraine and worldwide, is an integral part of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. He made this point during his speech at the "Agro. Avia. Day" conference, dedicated to the presentation and utilization of unmanned aerial vehicles in agriculture.
Denys Bashlyk highlighted that for Ukraine, this event is a historic occasion, considering that just five years ago, it would have been challenging to imagine our country advancing to such an extent in the development of the drone industry, particularly in the agricultural sector.
"We are witnessing the expansion of the application scope of agro-drones. I'd like to point out that this technology is not only about applying plant protection products. Today, it encompasses mapping and surveys for the presence, unfortunately, of explosive objects. Regarding the latter, we recently tested drones for surveying and demining territories. In practice, we've seen that these are very promising technologies," said Denys Bashlyk.
He mentioned that the Government is currently incentivizing the localization of drone manufacturing, and in his belief, Ukraine will soon transition to developing even more advanced drones, including those for the agricultural sector.
