In Odessa, the number of casualties increased to nine people due to the overnight drone attack by Russian forces.
According to the chief of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, and the press service of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, nine people were injured as a result of the Russian drone attack on the city overnight. Among them, four are children aged 12 and 9, and two infants who are less than a year old. Earlier, seven casualties were reported.
"Three adults have been hospitalized in the city's medical facilities, with their condition being of moderate severity. Two others refused hospitalization after receiving all necessary assistance on the spot. Four children are also in a moderate condition in the hospital. Medical professionals are providing all necessary assistance to the injured," said the head of the Regional Military Administration.
The Operational Command of the Southern Forces stated that overnight, the enemy once again launched several waves of attack drones on the southern regions of Ukraine, targeting the industrial and port infrastructure of the region.
Military officials clarified that in the operational zone of the Southern Defense Forces, 11 barrage projectiles were successfully intercepted:
- 7 in the Odessa region,
- 4 in the Mykolaiv region.
It is also noted that in Odessa, the fall of a downed drone caused damage to residential areas, shops, and other infrastructure objects.
