In line with the policy of honoring heroes initiated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, has invited veterans of the Ukrainian-Russian war to work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He made this announcement during a conversation with veterans at the Veteran Hub in Kyiv. He emphasized the need for the experience of veterans in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, particularly during times of conflict. Dmytro Kuleba urged all veterans to apply for positions, mentioning that there is a "Vacancies" section on the ministry's website. He specifically expressed his desire for veterans who may no longer serve at the frontlines due to injuries or amputations.
Dmytro Kuleba stressed the importance of veterans receiving societal respect and mentioned that their invaluable experience is needed by the state. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is interested in hiring veterans and believes that veterans who have undergone diplomatic training could become diplomats, drawing a parallel to civilians who undergo military training to become soldiers.
During the discussion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs answered questions from the participants and shared his vision for foreign policy, highlighting the role of projecting Ukraine's military strength. He emphasized the crucial role of Ukrainian heroes' invaluable experience in developing and implementing long-term strategies for foreign policy, aimed at enhancing international peace and security.
