Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba revealed that he received a "clear signal" from all members of the European Commission regarding the opening of negotiations for Ukraine's accession to the EU in December. He shared this information after the negotiations in the European Commission.
"The clear signal I received from all the interlocutors who will make the final decision at the meeting of the European Commission tomorrow is that Ukraine is moving towards a decision by the European Council this December to open negotiations," Kuleba said.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that there is not only political will in Ukraine for this decision but also within the European Commission.
"There is a lot of work to be done, but the closer we get to membership, the more it will appear," Kuleba added.
According to the minister, the main discussions, which will continue until the next day, are related to other countries, "for which a fundamental decision has not yet been made."
