Currently, work is underway to prepare the connection of two ZNPP power units to the grid.

As of 09:00 on August 26, 2022, all six power units of the Zaporizhzhia NPP were disconnected from the power grid.

Energoatom reports about it.

"The station's own needs for power supply are provided through the repaired line from the power system of Ukraine. The power output line of the ZNPP to the power system of Ukraine has also been resumed, and work is underway to prepare the connection of two power units of the ZNPP to the grid," the message says.

At the same time, Energoatom emphasized that there were no comments on the operation of equipment and security systems.

It should be noted that on August 25, due to fires at the ash dumps of the Zaporizhzhya TPP, located next to the Zaporizhzhya NPP, the station was completely disconnected from the power grid. Shutdown of the overhead line due to fires caused by the constant shelling of the invaders led to a change in the operation of the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

The situation with the Zaporizhzhia power plant, which the Russian invaders seized in early March 2022, is dangerous. Earlier, the IAEA said that it was necessary to demilitarize the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant through "negotiations."
