Ukraine and the European Commission have agreed on the format, timeline and necessary steps to fully cover Ukraine’s financial and defence needs in 2026–2027, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
“There are good results from our dialogue with the European Commission on covering Ukraine’s financial and defence needs in 2026 and 2027. We have agreed on the format, timeline and necessary steps to ensure the full amount,” Zelensky wrote on Telegram on Thursday.
According to him, Ukraine and the European Commission will coordinate this work on a monthly basis going forward.
Ukraine is also preparing additional measures to strengthen its defence and support society.
