The fill rate of German gas storage facilities is currently around 91%.

By the end of winter 2023, Germany's gas storage facilities will be more full than they were by the end of winter 2022, just after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Under a "normal" temperature curve, storage tanks will be 65% full at the end of March and the end of April, according to the Energy Storage Initiative (Ines) materials, according to Spiegel.

As stated in the material, this is significantly more than it was in 2022, when the storage facilities were 26% full at the end of March and at the end of April - 35%.

Germany's filling level of gas storage facilities is currently around 91%. The reason for this high filling is reduced energy consumption and additional imports to compensate for the missing volumes of imports from Russia.
