Four Ukrainian female tennis players, including Dayana Yastremska, and the last representative for Ukraine in the men's category, Vitaliy Sachko, won in the first qualifying round of the Australian Open.

Yulia Starodubtseva defeated Martina Kapurro-Taborda from Argentina in two sets. In the second set, Starodubtseva shut out the Argentine in half an hour and advanced to face Britain's Harriet Dart in the next round of qualification.
Dayana Yastremska had to play all three sets against Lea Boshkovich. The number of breaks was decisive in the first two sets. Yastremska led in the first set (3:1), while Boshkovich responded with one break in the second set (2:1). Yastremska only needed one break in the decisive set to secure a spot in the second round, where she will face Valentina Grammatikopoulou from Greece.
Daria Snigur played the shortest match, defeating Sine Kraus in just 56 minutes. Snigur won the first set with two breaks and finished off the Austrian with a bagel in the second set in just 20 minutes. Snigur's next opponent is American Ann Li.
Kateryna Zavatska easily secured victory, giving Armony Tan only four games in total. Zavatska dominated the French player, who managed to score only one point in the first set. Despite Tan's attempt to pick up the pace in the second set, Zavatska triumphed with a single break. In the next round, she will face the home player Madison Inglis.
Finally, Vitaliy Sachko defeated Denis Yevseyev from Kazakhstan. In the first set, Sachko dominated with four breaks, aces, and a 73% first-serve percentage. The second set was more competitive, but Sachko and Yevseyev ultimately created a final showdown. In the twelfth game, Sachko managed to break Yevseyev on his serve and ended the set and the match. Sachko's next opponent will be determined later.
