As a result of the morning mass strike by Russia on Ukraine on January 2, four people died, and 92 others were wounded.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this information, saying,
"Over 500 rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, communal services, energy workers, and police. Kyiv and the region, Kharkiv. At this time, 92 injured are known. Assistance is being provided to everyone. Unfortunately, four people have died. My condolences to their families and loved ones."
Zelensky mentioned that since December 31, Russian forces have used about 170 "Shahed" drones and dozens of missiles of various types.
"For the third day, our air defense troops are doing incredible work. The absolute majority of them were aimed at civilian objects. I thank all the partners who help strengthen our air shield. And obviously, this helps save hundreds of lives every day and night, which would have been taken by Russian terror if not for the Patriot and other defense systems," added the president.
He stated that this year Ukraine will continue working with everyone worldwide who values life to further strengthen our air defense and hold Russia accountable for its actions.
"A terrorist state must feel the consequences of what it is doing," Zelensky added
