France will provide Ukraine with an additional six self-propelled 155mm artillery systems Caesar, manufactured by the company Nexter. This was reported by the publication La Tribune.
It is noted that the transfer was announced during the visit of the French Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, to Kyiv.
Additionally, an agreement on the maintenance of the CAESAR self-propelled howitzers and the production of certain components at one of the Ukrainian enterprises was signed.
It should be recalled that during the visit of the French Minister Lecornu to Ukraine, around twenty contracts, letters of intent, or memorandums of understanding were signed with Ukrainian defense enterprises.
In particular, the Minister stated that France intends to shift from the "logic of withdrawing weapons from its own stocks to the logic of industrial partnership" with Ukraine.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of initiating joint production of certain types of weaponry.
During the event, Volodymyr Zelensky noted the high effectiveness of French weaponry, including the CAESAR self-propelled howitzers.
