Frankfurt and Lviv are now sister cities. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi announced this on Telegram.
"German Frankfurt, the financial capital of Germany, has become Lviv's new sister city. This marks Lviv's 24th sister city worldwide and the third German municipality with which Lviv has established partnership relations," he wrote.
During the signing of the agreement, the mayor emphasized Ukraine's European future.
"Thanks to such partners, we are already effectively members of the European family. This cooperation brings us closer to the day of official accession to the EU," he said.
