Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the Game 4 Ukraine personally in a public address, revealing that Chelsea will host the special match in west London in support of his United24 initiative, which is raising donations to help re-build the country’s infrastructure and facilities following last year’s invasion and the ongoing war.

UNITED24 was launched by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy as the main venue for collecting charitable donations in support of Ukraine. More than $325 million has been raised through donations from over 110 countries during the year of operation of the UNITED24 fundraising platform. UNITED24 ambassadors include Barbra Streisand, Mark Hamill, Imagine Dragons, Liev Schreiber, film director Michel Hazanavicius, astronaut Scott Kelly, Bear Grylls, Richard Branson, Andriy Shevchenko and Oleksandr Usyk.

The Game4Ukraine will raise funds for the reconstruction of the Mykhailo-Kotsiubynsky School in Chernihiv region which was struct by missiles. All the proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorship and a special range of unique merchandise available on the day going towards the re-construction efforts. It was hit by missiles on March 4, 2022. Thankfully, inhabitants had taken safety in the shelter, and were not injured. The classrooms were completely destroyed as the school took a direct missile hit.

Our priority and challenge today is to bring children back to the classroom. To return them to re-built schools to enhance the quality of their education
