On 18 October, Ukraine's air defence forces neutralised 418 of the 463 Russian attack drones of various types launched against the country.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
"Throughout 18 October, the enemy deployed 463 attack UAVs of various types: Shahed-131/136/238, Parodiya, Gerbera, Banderol/Dan-T and Italmas. Ukraine's air defence forces neutralised 418 of them, achieving an interception rate of 90.28%," the statement said.
According to the General Staff, "Behind these figures lies the complex daily work of our defenders. However, even such a high interception rate does not guarantee complete safety. Every drone that cannot be neutralised remains a threat to people's lives."
"We therefore urge everyone not to ignore air raid warnings and not to share information about air defence operations on social media," the General Staff stressed.
The General Staff also assured that Ukraine's Defence Forces continue to strengthen air defences, improve methods of detecting and destroying Russian aerial targets, and expand their capabilities to counter emerging threats, including jet-powered attack drones.
