Hungary has joined the coalition of 20 NATO member countries that will engage in demining operations in Ukraine.

This was reported by Hungarian Defense Minister Szalay-Bobrovniczky Kristóf.

The NATO countries met in Brussels on February 15. During the meeting, an agreement was signed to establish a Coalition for Demining Activities.

"In Ukraine, one of the most urgent tasks affecting the daily lives of the population is demining... The Hungarian Defense Forces are contributing to the coalition's activities, led by Lithuania, by conducting demining training," Szalay-Bobrovniczky Kristóf wrote.

Recently, Lithuania and 20 other countries approved a coalition for demining in Ukraine. In the artillery coalition, our first contribution will be 155mm ammunition, and in the unmanned coalition - drones and anti-drone systems.
