In 14 countries around the world, streets and squares were named in honor of Ukraine

The other day there were two more Ukrainian names on the world map. "Kyiv Boulevard" appeared in Luxembourg, and in New York, the intersection of Brighton Beach Avenue and Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn was renamed "Ukrainian Way".

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs started work on renaming streets abroad to ones related to Ukraine after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

First of all, as a sign of support for Ukraine, the streets where Russian diplomatic and consular institutions are located were proposed to be renamed.

As part of the Ukraine Street campaign, about 20 streets and squares in 14 countries of the world have been renamed as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine. These are the Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Albania, Norway, Canada, Hungary, Estonia, Sweden, France, Iceland, Luxembourg, the USA.

In six of these countries, Ukrainian names were given to the streets and squares on which Russian diplomatic institutions are located.
