In Borodyanka, a School of Arts named after Max Levin will be built

A School of Arts named after Max Levin will be built in Borodyanka, Bucha District, for 185 million hryvnias, according to Prozorro. It will be located at 230 Tsentralna Street. The customer is the Kyiv Regional Administration. The school is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

The concept was developed by UVT Group, as reported by the community Format A:1. It combines functionality and minimalism. The main facade of the building will be adorned with wavy shapes symbolizing creativity. Light concrete and wood will "ensure a balance of aesthetics and comfort." The school's area will be 2200 m², and it will accommodate about 150 children.

 

 

About Max Levin

As reported by IMI, photographer Max Levin and his friend, former photographer and military officer Oleksiy Chernychev, were killed in a forest near Moschun and Huta Mejigirska on March 13, 2022. Russian soldiers shot Max, and Oleksiy was burned. Their murders are currently under investigation as a war crime.

Max Levin went missing on March 13, 2022, at the front line in Vyshhorod District near Kyiv. On April 1, 2022, police found him dead in a forest near the village of Huta-Mezhyhirsk. According to the prosecutor's office, he was shot twice by Russian soldiers with firearms. He was 40 years old.

Max Levin worked as a photojournalist, documentary photographer, and operator for many Ukrainian and international publications. He worked for over 10 years at LB.ua, also collaborating with Reuters, BBC, TRT World, Associated Press, Hromadske. His photos were published by the Wall Street Journal, TIME, Breaking News Poland, EU AGENDA, World News, The Moscow Times, Korrespondent.net, ELLE, TV-24, Radio Bulgaria, Ukraine Crisis Media Center, Vatican News, and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.
