In the city of Curitiba, located in the state of Paraná, Brazil, a book presentation was held dedicated to the 130-year history of the Ukrainian community in Brazil titled "130 anno Imigração ucraniana o Brasil."
This event was organized by the Ukrainian World Congress.
Curitiba serves as the capital of the state and the center of Ukrainian culture in Brazil, while Paraná hosts the largest Ukrainian community. Ukrainian is the second official language in this municipality. The event was hosted by the Ukrainian Society of Brazil – SUBRAS and the folklore club Poltava.
Among the participants was Vitorio Sorotyuk, the president of the Ukrainian-Brazilian Central Representation, who is one of the editors of this valuable book.
The book is available for purchase at the UKRA BAR restaurant in Curitiba and at the Secretariat of the Ukrainian Society of Brazil.
