On June 1, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko together with UNICEF Ukraine Representative Murat Sahin visited the Center for Support of Children and Families "Spilno" in Bucha. It was opened at the initiative of UNICEF in Ukraine.

"We met with UNICEF officials in Ukraine and developed a preliminary plan on the assistance from UNICEF in the reconstruction and restoration of schools by September 1. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set a task to restore as many schools as possible by September 1," Kyrylo Tymoshenko said.

According to him, about 20% of schools and kindergartens across the country were destroyed.

"Institutions need to be either completely reconstructed or demolished and built from scratch. There are schools where only windows or roofs are damaged, it can be restored in a month and a half. And there are more complex works, such as the restoration of walls and buildings. We will try to rebuild as many kindergartens and schools as possible by September 1," said the Deputy Head of the President's Office.
