In Florence, Italy, the Tax Police have seized assets of a Russian businessman worth €41 million at the request of Kyiv’s Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

According to ANSA, the seized assets include real estate and company shares acquired through the reinvestment of illicit profits.

The businessman is under investigation for crimes committed in Ukraine, including corruption of public officials, fraud amounting to €60 million, and money laundering.

It is believed that the businessman purchased a large and luxurious real estate complex in Florence through a trust company based in the city.

Among the seized assets were company shares with a nominal value of €3 million and four properties valued at nearly €38 million, according to law enforcement sources.
