During July 2025, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and approved for use in the Armed Forces 50 new types of ammunition, all domestically produced.

This was reported by the Main Directorate for Lifecycle Support of Weapons and Military Equipment.

Among the ammunition approved in July, there is a predominance of cumulative and engineering munitions. The list also includes advanced high-explosive, fragmentation, and thermobaric munitions designed for use with unmanned aerial vehicles.

Over the first seven months of 2025, the defense ministry has codified nearly 160 new types of Ukrainian-made ammunition — almost as many as in the entire year of 2024, when approximately 170 new types were codified.
