The construction of the first underground school is complete. It was announced by the Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
"Currently, we are finalizing the last details before the start of classes," wrote Ihor Terekhov.
The building has been constructed to the highest safety standards and features 20 classrooms, accommodating up to 900 students in two shifts.
The enrollment for the next academic year is nearly complete. This year, 600 children will already be seated at their desks.
"We express our gratitude to our international partners, construction companies, and educators for bringing this strategically important project for Kharkiv to life in the shortest possible time! And looking ahead, yes, we plan to continue building similar schools in other districts of the city to ensure all our children have equal access to quality and, most importantly, safe education," emphasizeв Ihor Terekhov.
