On the night of November 1, 2023, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using kamikaze drones "Shahed-136/131," as reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Air Force. Air raid sirens were activated in most regions of Ukraine.
In total, Russian military launched 20 drones, and Ukrainian forces successfully shot down 18 of them. They also managed to destroy a guided aviation missile, the Kh-59.
In the Poltava region, there was an impact on an oil refinery in Kremenchuk, as reported by the head of the regional military administration, Philipp Pronin. He stated that a fire broke out at the facility, but it was subsequently extinguished by rescuers. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties.
"Information about any damages is still being assessed. The facility is not operational, and all relevant services are on-site," added Pronin.
