On June 3, 2024, the opening of DHUB took place—a platform for developers (engineers and programmers), manufacturers, and users, the creation of which was initiated by representatives of the business community, the Ministry of Strategic Industries, and the National Aviation University.
The hub was created by Ukrainian businessman and founder of Octava Defence, Oleksandr Kardakov, with the support of the Ministry of Strategic Industries led by Oleksandr Kamyshyn, the head of Victory Drones, Maria Berlinska, and the National Aviation University with rector Kseniia Semenova.
"Today, technology races play a key role, and we need to be faster, smarter, and more inventive," noted the importance of such platforms at the opening of DHUB by Oleksandr Kamyshyn.
In addition to events, hackathons, and roadshows, DHUB will serve as a platform for developers and manufacturers to find partners, which is expected to become a "piece of the puzzle" in the ecosystem of the National Aviation University, according to Oleksandr Kardakov. That's why the hub is equipped with a laboratory and a lecture hall.
"Currently, there are discussions about using DHUB in the educational process at the National Aviation University, which is expected to become one of the drivers of the revival of university science," said Kardakov.
Acting rector of the National Aviation University, Kseniia Semenova, whose university served as the basis for the platform, also emphasized the importance of creating such spaces in education development.
"Our goal is to develop youth in modern directions so that everyone can not only realize their abilities but also help the state and develop its innovative potential with their inventions," added Semenova.
According to Maria Berlinska, who became a lecturer at DHUB, thanks to the created space, it will be possible to establish effective cooperation between engineers, designers, inventors, and investors, who, in synergy, will be able to achieve significant results in technological developments and inventions.
