A fire broke out at the Afipsky oil refinery in the Seversky district of Russia’s Krasnodar Krai following a drone attack. The incident was reported by the Russian BBC service, citing the regional operational headquarters.

Initially, the fire was said to have covered an area of about 100 m², but later the operational headquarters reported that the blaze had been contained at 250 m².

According to preliminary information, there were no casualties from the attack. The refinery’s staff was evacuated to shelters.

Meanwhile, in Taganrog, a drone attack damaged a dormitory building and a residential house, according to Rostov region governor Yuriy Slyusar.

He said that UAVs were allegedly shot down over Taganrog and in four other districts of the Rostov region. In Taganrog, a multi-storey residential building was damaged, and the roof of a construction industry and technology college dormitory was destroyed. In addition, a private house in the city burned down.

Another drone fell in central Taganrog, where sappers worked to neutralize it.

In Russia’s Volgograd, residential buildings were also affected by drone attacks — window glazing in apartments was damaged and small fires broke out, regional governor Andrey Bocharov reported.

A construction materials warehouse was also damaged in the attack. One person was injured and received medical assistance on-site.
