The head of the Bundestag Defense Committee, Mari Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, has called on the German government to immediately supply Ukraine with long-range Taurus missiles.
According to her, through the targeted use of these missiles, the Ukrainian army can significantly disrupt Russian logistics. She believes that Kyiv can use Taurus missiles to attack targets within Russia itself.
"International law also allows Ukraine to attack military objects on the territory of the Russian aggressor, regardless of where this weapon was produced and who supplied it," Strack-Zimmermann stated.
She also warned German Chancellor Olaf Scholz against further delaying the delivery of missiles, which has been under discussion for six months.
"Each one of us is considering (whether to supply the missiles or not). But if we delay, we can only prolong the suffering," Strack-Zimmermann explained.
