Drones attacked an oil refinery in the Kaluga region, causing a fire. According to reports from Russian media, several powerful explosions were heard near the Polotnyanyy plant station in the Dzerzhinsky district of the region around one o'clock in the morning. The air defense systems were reported to be active.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing the characteristic sounds of several UAVs flying overhead, followed by the appearance of fire and smoke in the area of the local oil depot, known as the 'First Plant'.

The governor, Vladislav Shapsha, confirmed the attack on the plant in the Dzerzhinsky district: 'Last night, as a result of a UAV falling on the territory of the enterprise in the Dzerzhinsky district, a fire broke out. Operational units have been dispatched to the scene to extinguish the fire. At the moment, the fire has been extinguished. According to preliminary data, there are no casualties. An assessment of the extent of damage to the infrastructure of the enterprise is underway,' the head of the region reported.
