Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service has obtained materials indicating a virtually daily worsening of the fuel, military logistics, and governance crisis in Crimea, as well as growing anxiety among the Russian population.
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this in a statement.
“We have received important intelligence findings regarding the situation in Crimea and other Ukrainian territories currently under Russian occupation. Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service has obtained materials showing a virtually daily deepening of the crisis in fuel supplies, military logistics, and governance in Crimea,” he said.
Zelensky noted that the Russian occupation administration is openly acknowledging its inability to resolve problems caused by Ukraine’s “medium-range sanctions” against the occupiers, as well as by the implementation of “long-range sanctions,” particularly those targeting Russia’s oil refining industry. According to the President, a similar situation is unfolding in other Russian regions.
“We have also obtained internal Russian documents assessing public sentiment within the aggressor state. The level of anxiety among Russians is now higher than during our Kursk operation, exceeding 50%. Already, 66% of Russians consider their financial situation difficult. More than 80% believe that a large-scale economic crisis in Russia is inevitable. These are absolutely transparent indicators reflecting the failure of Putin’s wartime policies,” the President stated.
