Cyber specialists of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine obtained new evidence of the mass kidnapping of Ukrainian children from temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate on Facebook.

As part of a large-scale cyber operation, intelligence officers gained access to the servers of the so-called “Crimean government.”

These resources contained documentation confirming the forced transfer of children from occupied territories of Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

In particular, specialists accessed several thousand lists of transported children, profiles of kidnapped children left without guardianship, illegal decisions appointing new guardians for transported orphaned children from among Russian citizens, as well as addresses of new places of residence and settlement of the kidnapped Ukrainian children.

“Thousands of files containing invaluable information for justice about one of Russia’s greatest war crimes — the kidnapping of Ukrainian children — have already been handed over to law enforcement agencies. They will be analyzed and attached to criminal proceedings. The obtained information will help find and return the kidnapped children to their homeland, as well as punish those involved in this crime,” said Andriy Yusov, representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
