This is the first equipment order received by the Armed Forces of Ukraine within the IT coalition led by Estonia and Luxembourg.
Laptops, monitors, and other communication equipment worth 900,000 euros will be delivered to units in the near future. The efficient and swift procurement was facilitated by NATO's Support and Procurement Agency.
"The provided equipment will improve communication and task planning capabilities at the tactical level. This is one of our priorities – to address requests from units regarding communication on the front lines. We are grateful to our partners for their responsibility and speed in decision-making," noted Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digital Transformation, Digital Development, and Digitization.
The IT coalition is a special group of states within the Contact Group on Defense Matters for Ukraine (Ramstein format) led by Estonia and Luxembourg, focusing on providing support to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the IT, communication, and cybersecurity spheres. Within the IT coalition, financial and material contributions totaling over 36 million euros have already been gathered, with contributions of over 23 million euros still pending.
